L1 had great fun in PE, using a tennis racquet and a rubber spot to represent a frying pan and pancake. They worked hard to balance the ‘pancake’ whilst moving and even had a go at flipping the ‘pancake’! Back in class, the fun and learning continued when we made our own pancakes to eat. We talked about following a recipe, measuring and weighing and practised pouring and mixing. When the pancakes were ready, the children chose their preferred toppings and enjoyed a tasty treat. We even had pancakes left over to enjoy during our morning toast time later in the week!
