Today, Primary 7 took part in the 'Restart a Heart' live lesson, where we learned an essential life-saving skill. The children learned about the circulatory system and how to perform CPR.
Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK, which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by helping more people learn CPR and become ResusReady.
The acronym the children used to remember the key actions was:
- D – Danger
- R – Response
- A – Airway
- B – Breathing
- C – CPR
