STEM Week 2023

15th Nov 2023

All our VPS pupils enjoyed taking part in a range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities last week.
Purple class worked in groups to create electrical circuits. Indigo class made fireworks in a jar for the Hindu festival known as Diwali, as part of their Faith and Festivals topic. These two classes also worked together to complete various tasks during a STEM workshop.
The pupils in Blue class learned about how our bodies digest food and made models of the digestive system.
Green class designed and built birds’ nests using natural materials, recycled household items to make bird feeders and even engineered their own towers following research about the tallest buildings on Earth!
Yellow class explored the properties of ice and made fake snow as part of their Cold Lands topic.
The Rainbow, Red and Orange classes enjoyed investigating and exploring STEM through a range of playful activities. The photos below show the excitement and joy we experienced while learning during STEM week!
