P1/2 are enjoying learning all about bears. As part of our topic, we spent some time reading and exploring the well-known story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen. Inspired by the book, we set off on our very own bear hunt around the school grounds. Thankfully, the only bears we encountered were soft, cuddly teddy bears! 🧸 Back in the classroom, we had some great discussion about the differences between real bears and pretend ones, and our teddy bear friends stayed with us for the rest of the day. As an extra treat, we also made ‘bear toast’, using chocolate, banana and blueberries. It was delicious! What a wonderful day to celebrate our topic of ‘Bears’!
